Hello everyone, Samantha Lombardi here and I’m the Editor-in-Chief of Red Skies, SSU’s online e-zine. Autumn is coming on quickly, as is evident with the leaves changing colors from green to red and orange. Pumpkins are appearing on doorsteps, as well as pumpkin flavored coffee and muffins at Dunks and Starbucks.
The newest fashions are out in the clothing stores, with jeans and zippered jackets filling the racks. Many local farms are holding events such as apple picking and corn field mazes. Students (especially at SSU) are beginning to brainstorm Halloween costumes. Most importantly, autumn brings a new school year with new notebooks, laptops, textbooks, pencils, pens, papers, and projects.
Seasons come and go, and they always bring new challenges and changes. While you’re getting settled in, keep an eye out for us here at Red Skies, Salem State University’s online e-zine. If you’re interested in becoming part of the Red Skies team, please join us on Mondays at 12pm at Meier Hall 320. All majors are welcomed, so don’t feel excluded if you’re not an English major.
We like to write about anything and everything we can think of. Got an idea for a story/article- you want to promote your group or club? Bring it with you and we’ll discuss it. We look forward to meeting with you!
