Tips for the Rest of November

The election is over (thank goodness -- no more political commercials) and while there is still much to do before the end of classes -- we are going to help get you through the remaining 18 days of this lovely fall month, and onto Thanksgiving at home.
1. Bundle up.
2. Thank our Veterans all year round.
3. Avoid Black Friday – like the evil, smarmy, capitalist conspiracy it is!
4. Enjoy the end of fall in beautiful New England. Grab a friend and walk the bicycle path.
5. Get yourself ready for December finals.
6. Do some healthy unwinding that doesn’t require drinking. Don’t self-medicate.
7. Know when you need to be out of your dorm for the Thanksgiving Break.
8. Do something nice with your family – watch a film, take a walk, talk to each other.
9. Read to the children in your life.
10. Play board games. (Our favorites include: Scrabble, Battleship, Connect Four, checkers, Monopoly, Clue, Sorry, Parcheesi, Mancala, any and all card games, Uno, Munchin,
11. Help with the dishes.
12. Think crafts for holiday gifts.
13. Help with raking the leaves, and then jump in them!
14. Walk your pets.
15. Color with a friend.
16 Help your mom and dad. Talk to your grandparents.
17. Be grateful for all that we have and share.
18. Be grateful that you are getting a college education here at SSU.
