A construction crane, towering against the sky,
I gaze closer, hues of blue unfold,
Its scent, a sweet waft of cotton candy.
In the distance, familiar apartment buildings,
Our abode, my family's shared space,
And there, the revelation unfolds.
Mx. Ansell, imparting English to their unborn,
A shadow cast, morphing into a ferret's form.
A shiver of fear, "Scary," whispers my thought.
On the ground, Lamby, a forlorn presence.
"Why did you leave?" uttered as rain descends.
I raise my eyes, the sun gleams above.
Mx. Ansell pivots, a tale awaiting its end.
