Question 3?

By: Charisse Thompson
If you’re unsure of how to vote on for Question 3, or don’t have all of the information regarding the question, look no further!
Question 3 is one the ballot questions being presented to voters in the upcoming polls that has gained a lot of attention.
In 2016, Massachusetts enacted landmark transgender legislation, which made sure that transgender individuals were able to use bathroom and locker rooms that reflected their gender identities. This law allows transgender individuals to not be discriminated against in public areas, and is enforced by the law.
In the upcoming election, Massachusetts voters will decide whether or not the state will repeal or keep this law.
To vote yes on question 3, means to keep the current law in place, continuing to protect transgender individuals and stop discrimination based on gender identity. To vote no on question 3, means to revoke this law.
Election day is Tuesday, November 6th, and you’ll be able to vote all day from 7a.m to 8p.m. Early-voting has already begun and will continue until Friday, November 2nd, something to keep in mind if you believe your schedule won’t allow you to vote on the 6th.
A listing and summary of all three ballot questions can be found at the Secretary of State Site.
Happy voting!
