[poem] Dear Rachel Rose

Lovebirds sing,

under bare moonlit petals

spring eyes spring,

rosy lace nectar

flew afloat,

floating reverie

as pattering rain,

quintessence of sympathy

meek poetess splay,

seasonal freckles

timeless cascade,

Bedewed fain petals,

hourglass of crystal moons,

defy gravity

burst symphonic noon,

serene anthologies,

Not candles nor sunsets,

but your petals made me blush

your twilight figure,

holy faceted lush

foliage cadence right to left…

left to right princess wonder

clock hands obscurely hover,

not clasping each other

peruse me in cursive,

like a book enclosed leaf

Ethereal prayers,

Rose vermillion dreams

lay me…kiss me,

entwined petals bloom

a poetically cut cake,

in dawn’s sweet blue,

fading amber tears,

laced in chamomile

sigh soothing tides,

flatter wink faille

pixie dust hair,

heart quivers expectations,

grazing soft furrows,

of silent punctuations

Kissing Lovebirds,

pluck moonlit leaves

from twinkling branches,

on lustrous trees

they flutter on my desk,

as love note puddles

superlative whispers,

poetically shuffled

unworthy to write you,

Yet my pen traces,

my honey bespattered,

on extant venations,

before edges wither,

muse hued invitations

oh lunar escapes,

oh flawless patience

beseeched leaves,

venture sidewalk to sidewalk

escaping broken concrete,

breezy night walks,

If leaves outnumber stars,

and slip through your window

dare you pursue them,

or cast them where flames glow

still your chimney,

will paint dazzling curls

in lilac stardust,

and sky fairy twirls

If leaves are hindered from your hand,

by peculiar imaginations

I’ll leap out my front door,

and bring love Magnanimous

we’ll meet on a bench,

Under tree of life bowers,

With alluring wings,

you’ll read my dense vows,

On coasts of moon dreams,

I’ll fondle your hands

We’ll mingle our feet,

under sapphire sands

To be your living poem,

a petal’s whiff from mine, ,

twelve thousand verses,

Soliloquy night

splay mingle memories,

lit playground nights

But I gaze out my windows,

oh to see you tonight.
