1. See the last Hobbit movie (the last one for now). 2. Call your Mom. 3. Stock up on leftovers as you listen to relaxing music. 4. Don’t buy people who have a December birthday just one gift. 5. Don’t wait until the last minute to wrap presents, gift certificates work & think online shopping. 6. Be nice to the retail workers. 7. Don’t buy pets for Christmas. 8. Bundle up & get to the CVS for cold & flu medicine (& we recommend Airbornes) get some! Winter Island Lighthouse, Salem, Massachusetts
9. Drink hot chocolate with a cute stranger after you have built a snowman with him/her. 10. Ice skate with a cute stranger. 11. A Charlie Brown Christmas” – watch it with your younger brothers & sisters, along with some version of Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” & “A Christmas Story” & watch them wearing your ugly Christmas sweater, with a cute stranger, (who might also be in a ugly Christmas sweater & enjoys the company of your younger brothers & sisters). 12. Listen to Christmas songs. Don’t listen to Christmas songs. Go caroling with a cute stranger. 13. Bake Christmas cookies with a cute stranger. 14. Stay safe on New Year’s. We here at Red Skies, don’t get this whole thing about eggnog. 15. It’s cold out so stick to your dark liquors, scotch, bourbon & whisky. 16. Watch “Elf”. Avoid scary Christmas movies. 17. Read the book that you’ve been putting off. 18. Drink the seasonal coffees. We’re fond of those gingerbread lattes. 19. Only use your Christmas lights to light your rooms. Turn off all lamps. 20. Make your own Christmas cards. Don’t craft ugly snowflakes. 21. Make a gingerbread house with your brothers & sisters – & if they’re not around, well dear reader, you know our default is to find a cute strange. 22. Stay away from mistletoe unless there’s a cute stranger standing alongside the tree. 23. Drive 10 miles under the speed limit if it snows. 24. If someone slips on the ice, help pick them up. 25.
